Mambhazam oozed tears to readers and made them realize that children need more space to enjoy and more liberty.

This is the fourth stanza of the Malayalam poem Mambhazam by Vailoppilli Sreedhara Menon. It is about a mother who lost her son about 4 months ago and she repents scolding him for his mischief.

The innocent toddler did not wait for the mangoes to be ripe. He left his mother’s home and went to the other world soon. He lived playfully in his own world for eternity.
