	You never experienced the sweat and dust of this world. How would you these sad stories of this world. Here the poet depicts the journey of life to that of a camel. When crossing the distance of life with a lot of pain, the camel walks slow, and it can hear the sound of other struggling souls.
	To quench the thirst of some, humans poke on other eyes; their tears make them thirstier.

	G. Shankara Kurup was born at cochin, Kerala. G. Shankara Kurup’s collection of poems in Malayalam titled “Odakkuzhal”( bamboo flute) won numerous prestigious awards. Kurup was teacher by profession and his poems are included in curriculum of Malayalam language. Oh shining star on the sky, can you tell me Whether the daybreak can be seen far away? why is your face blooming with happiness and surprise !

Touching Malayalam short poem about an innocent peasant girl turning insane after she misses her mate.

Every day she heard the cycle bell from a distance and came out to greet him. She dressed attractively like peasant girl would do, she use to get gifts from her lover as well at times.
One day the bicycle bell stopped ringing but she still waited and slowly turned insane. Even now her leg cuffs made the ringing noises and she still waits for her lover.

Romantic poem on a lost childhood friend, who cared and gifted uniquely. A special unique relation which was lost in flow of life.

Did not know to call her my Love!!
Never understood depth in eyes

A gift she gave once was… half peacock wrapped in white paper
Another was glass bangles broken pieces mended necklace
She wrapped this in a flower and gifted me

While on the way to school
I saw her green beads necklace hanging on small tree
I took and kept it with me but she might have seen this
She once called me a necklace thief as I remember

I still giggle nostalgically when I remember her
I lost her in the flood of life and still searching
for half peacock feather all along the road.

A day in summer my father closed his eyes forever
and left the house in dark.
I enter the teenage with a heavy heart on that Vishu day.

So did I experience my youthfulness during Vishu
I came to your house on a festival day

Your brother was busy in errands at your family house
And I was idly reading in veranda

Suddenly someone hid my eyes from behind
And I turned wondering who that might be

It looked as if the shadow has confined the blazing sun. It is a festive mood with clever drumbeat in my hilly town! The croaking frogs welcoming the rain and the smell of mango ting! Birds are singing the tune of the season

In the banks of the pond, the sun rays and the shadow dances along. He still feels the play mood in heart along with his friends. Traditional songs and the fun of homemaker moms talking to each other are filled in air! The sound of traditional oil mill running! The flowers of the local tree called Konna, which only flowers during Vishu season exclusively! Vishu is considered as New Year of Kerala and the poet hopes that this year is a good start to brand new chapter.
